Resource centre
EASUN seeks to promote a reading culture within CSOs in East Africa and beyond. It is our hope that our networking and training workshops, as well as our own publications are generating sufficient interest in the field of organisation development (OD) as a discipline and approach to capacity development.
EASUN's communication strategy is informed by the desire to link CSOs in East Africa with the growing body of knowledge in OD and institutional development (ID). In addition, EASUN has established an OD/ID Resource Centre that is well stocked with a variety of books, DVDs and over ten different highly regarded journals addressing subjects such as organisational and management learning, behavioural science, human values, coaching and many more.
A growing reading culture and access to relevant information by CSOs and CBOs in the region will strengthen their understanding of the spirit of the effective organisation of the future, which focuses on creating value toward increased freedom, participation and equity in the lives of men and women at all levels of society. Better opportunities for treading will also create a spirit of collaboration, shared purpose and more developmental practices among intermediary capacity building organisations in the region.
